If you can dream it you can do it.
Think about our world right now. Just ten years ago how many of us knew about Zoom? Now everyone does.
Someone came up with that idea. There wasn’t anything like it before. Now it is common place.
What about Airbnbs? I have heard stories about the initial proposal to investors. They thought the idea was crazy. Who would let people in their homes they didn’t know? I guess a lot of people.
The list of new ideas goes on and on-Amazon, iPhones, tablets, google maps… Everything had to be created by someone.
All of these ideas started by thinking out of the box.
There are many ways to do this. But the first thing you need to do is be open to a new idea, a new way of doing things.
Be curious.
Your idea may not work at first. But maybe there is a way to get it to work. Start with a big idea, then adapt it from there.
The main thing you will need is curiosity.
Instead of thinking: That won’t work, start by thinking How can I make this work?
I love decorating my house. I have ideas and I want to make them work. There have been many times I have gone to the hardware store and had the employees help me. The first thing they say is You can’t do that. I tell them, Really? Let’s figure it out.
It all comes together. I ask questions to figure out why it doesn’t work and I continue to try things. I am always convinced it is possible.
I am open and curious.
Why won’t it work? How can I make it work? What do I need to adjust to make it work? These are just a few of the questions that go through my mind.
This is also true when it comes to jobs and businesses. I was stuck for a while not knowing what I was going to do next. It would have been easy to continue on my same path. I wasn’t excited about the work anymore but I still did a great job and was still in demand. That wasn’t enough for me. I was ready for something new.
What’s Next?
I took time to be curious and ask a lot of questions. I also looked at how I wanted to live my life. Did I want a full-time job? Did I want to work for someone? Did I want to work for myself? Where did I want to live? How did I want to live? What is important to me?
I took all of the answers to these questions and more and designed the life I wanted. That included my work and my life style.
It has been a lot of work and so satisfying.
I look forward to the work. I am excited to build my business by helping others find their next path. I love seeing my clients light up when they find the thing they are excited about. Or when they have the breakthroughs that opens them up to new possibilities.
I guess the most satisfying part is having others realize they can do anything they want and they can be happy doing it.
The key is thinking out of the box and seeing what’s possible.
Don’t stay stuck in a job because you don’t know what’s next. There are endless possibilities available. I am here to help you see all of them and help you decide which one you want to pursue.
